Spandex can not be woven separately, generally woven with other raw materials, the proportion of spandex is about 3-10%, and the proportion of spandex in swimsuit fabric reaches 20%. Spandex fibers are synthetic fibers with high elongation at break (more than 400%), low modulus and high elastic recovery.
Spandex has high elongation (500%~700%), low elastic modulus (200% elongation, 0.04~0.12g/denier) and high elastic recovery rate (200% elongation, 95%~99%). In addition to the greater strength, other physical and mechanical properties are very similar to natural latex wire. It is more resistant to chemical degradation than latex wire, has moderate thermal stability, and softens at temperatures above about 200°C.
